Hot Summer Nights

Hot Summer Nights was a huge success!  More than 100 people attended and enjoyed the summer         fundraiser put on by this year’s Parish Council on Friday night, June 5th.  The casual, fun summer themed event included delicious homemade fried chicken and waffles, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, salads, and a variety of delicious homemade fruit pies.  The evening was filled with lots of excitement as guests also enjoyed games, contests, raffles and watching the children take their chance at breaking the candy filled piñata.

The Parish Council would like to thank all those who came out on that hot summer evening to participate and enjoy the event.   Many generous donations were received that night, as well as other donations received from those who were not able to attend.  The Church was able to raise over $4,500.00 to help towards the summer’s expenses of the Church.  Your support is very much appreciated.

Because this fun casual event was so well received and so successful, the Parish Council has planned another fundraising event, which will be held at the end of the    summer.  We hope that you will all be able to come out, have some fun, and help support a new idea in early Fall.

St. Garabed’s Armenian Apostolic Church will be celebrating the long-standing folk-festival tradition of      Oktoberfest, on Friday, September 25th.  Come and enjoy sausage, sauerkraut, pretzels, hot dogs and beer.  Of course, there will also be lots of games, contests and prizes for all to enjoy.

Thank you for your continued support.
